THE HIMALAYAN GRAND CIRCLE: DELHI-LEH-UMLING LA EXPEDITION

This is the ultimate road trip challenge—a 13-day full circuit starting and ending in Delhi. It covers the entire spectrum of the Himalayas: from the pine forests of Manali to the high-altitude desert of Ladakh. You will cross major passes including Baralacha La and Tanglang La, stand at the POK border in Thang, and conquer Umling La, the world's new highest motorable road. This is not just a trip; it is a complete trans-Himalayan odyssey.

  • Day 01 | Delhi to Manali: Begin the journey with an overnight drive from Delhi towards the hills.


  • Day 02 | Arrive Manali: Reach Manali, check in to your hotel, and rest to prepare for the high altitude ahead.


  • Day 03 | Manali to Sarchu | Atal Tunnel | Baralacha Pass | Deepak & Suraj Tal: Cross the engineering marvel of Atal Tunnel and the high Baralacha Pass to reach the plains of Sarchu.


  • Day 04 | Sarchu to Leh | Tanglang Pass | 22 Gata Loops | Pang Grounds: Drive through the 22 Gata Loops and cross Tanglang La to arrive in the city of Leh.


  • Day 05 | Leh to Nubra valley | Khardungla Pass | Himalayan Desert: Cross Khardungla Pass to reach the white sands of the Himalayan Desert in Nubra.


  • Day 06 | Turtuk Excursion | Thang Village | POK Border: Visit the Balti village of Turtuk and Thang, the last village on the Northern border.


  • Day 07 | Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake | Saline Water Lake: Travel to the world-famous, color-changing Saline Water Lake, Pangong Tso.


  • Day 08 | Pangong Lake to Hanle | Rezang La War Memorial: Drive to Hanle, visiting the Rezang La War Memorial en route.


  • Day 09 | Hanle to Nyoma | Umlingla Pass World’s New Highest Motorable Road: A historic drive to conquer the world's highest motorable road at Umling La before descending to Nyoma.


  • Day 10 | Nyoma to Leh | Mahe Monastery | Puga Valley: Return to Leh via the geothermal Puga Valley and Mahe Monastery.


  • Day 11 | Leh To Jispa | Tanglang Pass | 22 Gata Loops: Begin the return journey south, staying overnight in the scenic hamlet of Jispa.


  • Day 12 | Jispa To Manali to Delhi | Atal Tunnel | Sissu: Drive back to Manali via Sissu and Atal Tunnel, then board the overnight transfer to Delhi.


  • Day 13 | Reach Delhi: Arrival in Delhi, marking the end of the expedition.
